~ Review ~
Company: Farm Hussy
Reviewer: Michelle

Julie from Farm Hussy actually sent in products for me to review last October
and I’m just getting this review done. It was a crazy busy year here,
but I’m determined to get The Bath Buzz buzzin! So what better way to do that
then with an awesome review of the Farm Hussy’s products. Besides many of these are
in their Halloween scented line and are perfectly suited for the upcoming season.
So grab your best “ghoulfriends” and hunker down for a visit to the Farm!
If you haven’t been to the Farm Hussy website, you are in for a definite treat.
You’ll love the quirkiness of their products names and scent descriptions!
You’ll feel like you are down on the farm, right there with them.
It’s an experience you won’t want to miss, and neither are their products!
Julie sent in a huge box of goodies that actually did take me a few months to get thru them all!
So I’m going to break this review down into sections because there are so many
different products to cover.
CREAM OF THE CROP LOTIONS:

First up, let’s start with their “Cream of the Crop” body lotions.
I have 3 different scents here: What Lies…Pasturize, Strawberry Fields for Heifer,
and The Great Pumpkin.
What Lies…Pasturize is a scent mixture of toasted graham crackers, vanilla frosting,
creamy caramel and juicy raisins according to their scent page’s description.
They say it’s a best seller scent. I can smell the sweetness overall,
but can’t really put my finger on an exact flavor. It’s a very light scent.
Strawberry Fields for Heifer is a scent filled with ripe and sweet strawberries!
This is simply divine and screams spring/summer to me. It’s a much more prominent
scent that stays much longer on the skin, but is not overpowering at all.
The Great Pumpkin is a spicy sweet pumpkin scent that was definitely my favorite
out of the three. Some people don’t like to wear food type scented body products,
but I love it and I’ve never heard anyone say, hey who smells like their baking pies!
All three of these lotions are a thicker body type butter when you dig into them,
but they go on very smooth and soak right into your skin leaving a smooth feel.
BARNYARD VIX-HEN SHAVING CREAMS:

Next up I’m going to my favorite of all the products Julie sent me…The Barnyard Vix-Hen
Shaving Creams!
I had the pleasure of trying Bobbing For Apples and Night “Mare” scented shave creams.
The Bobbing for Apples certainly lives up to its name. It’s a fresh from the tree, sweet,
juicy apple scent. Even comes in a light pink color.
The Night “Mare” is more of a melt in your mouth candy corn type scent. I couldn’t find this
on their website’s scent description, so it may no longer be available.
I was pleasantly surprised with this shaving cream. I’m accustomed to the store
bought shave gels that come in a can, so I was apprehensive that these would work.
However, I will never go back to the can again. It just takes a small amount as
you rub this onto your legs and it lathers up nicely. The best part is how smooth
and moisturized my legs feel afterwards. You get a clean shave and a fantastic silky
feel afterwards with no leftover residue.
My husband loved how it made my legs feel and look!
I had a 4.2oz size jar and it seemed to last forever. At just $5.25 you can’t go
wrong and only $9.95 for the large 8.5oz jars! Trust me, this is a must have.
Your legs can thank me later.
WHIPPED SOY GLACE:
Onto Farm Hussy’s Whipped Soy Glace. I received a tub scented in ButterCream.
This is definitely thicker then their Cream of the Crop body creams. It’s much thicker
in the jar and goes on thicker too. It takes a little more rubbing action to melt
this into your skin but it truly moisturizes well. The buttercream scent is a light one.
I would prefer a stronger scent for this so I can smell it hours later too.
This is the perfect solution for those extra rough areas of your elbows, knees and feet.
Let’s not forget their Body Bag Butter in MarshMalloween and their Devine Bovine Butyere
in One Night with a Rodeo Clown. These have almost the same fell as the Cream of the
Crop line, but with a little more thickness to them. I like the Marshmalloween scent.
It has a faint smell of a jar of marshmallow cream. The Rodeo Clown is said to be a best
seller on their website too and the description says it’s a romantical scent.
Not one that I would purchase for myself, but you may like it as it has more of a
perfumey type scent to it.
SUGAR SCRUBS:

I have to warn you that I am totally addicted to sugar scrubs. They are my all time
favorite bath n body product. I have found a few favorite scrubs that I purchase
all the time, so I was expecting this to be just another scrub. But I’ve added this
foaming twister scrub to my new favorites.
I received the Fowl Play scent. It was a little spicy with a sweet honey, amber and white
musk added to it. I really like this scent and this is not a weak scrub.
It certainly packs a punch with bigger sized sugar granuals and actually foams and lathers
a bit while you’re using it.
I love sugar scrubs for under my arm pits. I know that’s strange, but they work great
for getting that deodorant completely off before shaving.
I also use scrubs for my elbows, knees and feet. Great for sloughing away those
dead skin cells and letting the new shine thru!
LOTIONS:

Last up on the product review list are some regular lotions: Flipper L’Ocean, Pear-A-Normal,
Maui Cowie, Harvest Hoedown, The Ghost of Hussy’s Past and good ole’ mosquito repellent lotion.
Let’s cover the Flipper L’Ocean and Maui Cowie scents first.
They both have a beach type feel to them. I prefer the Maui Cowie as I can get a hint
of coconut suntan oil in this and it takes me right back to vacation in the sand!
Harvest Hoedown, The Ghost of Hussy’s Past and Pear-A-Normal all have that fall scent to them.
I can’t pick a favorite, but have to say Harvest Hoedown and Pear-A-Normal I would
order more of. The full sweet pear scent is really delicious as well as the spice Harvest
tones are too.
All of these lotions are a lot thinner then the previous ones mentioned,
but they still go on smoothly and the scent lingers throughout the day.
My skin is still left hydrated as well.
MOSQUITO REPELLANT LOTION:
And last of all, we are down to the mosquito repellant lotion.
This is not scented, but definitely has that repellant lotion smell to it.
I wish we would have had this while we were on vacation because those little suckers
had a feast on our family at Assateague Island!
When I wore this outside a night a few times here at home, it seemed to do the trick.
I didn’t notice any bites after coming indoors.
I would love to see this scented in something spicy to cover the repellant scent,
if possible.
All in All, I adore Farm Hussy and their products.
Julie has incredible customer service and her turn around time can’t be beat for
bath n body products! She’s always running a sale or special too.
